The Elite Pulse is designed to cut through the air: a round profile, with no break between tread and sidewall, which limits drag. Its thin tread and SPC Silica compound grip in the dry and the wet. Puncture-protection belt, 210/375 TPI casing, up to 15 bar.

Rubber puncture stripA layer of rubber laid under the tread: whatever passes through the rubber stops there before reaching the casing. It adds to the model's puncture barrier, it does not replace it. Tufo calls it the “protective rubber ply”.
Elite Pulse, in a few words
What it does
The Elite Pulse is the tubular for time trials and triathlon. Its purpose is not only weight or rolling resistance, but aerodynamics: at 40 km/h, air costs more than rolling.
The profile
Its section is round, with no break between tread and sidewall. On a conventional tubular, the edge between the two detaches the airflow and creates drag right where the wheel is widest. The Pulse's continuous profile limits this separation, and pairs with deep-section rims, whose shape it extends.

Thin tread, SPC Silica compound that grips in the dry and the wet, composite puncture-protection belt, rubber puncture strip, 210/375 TPI casing. In 22 and 25 mm, up to 15 bar.
