Tubeless rim tape, in a few words
What it is for
This is the sealing tape that closes the spoke holes in the rim bed, a condition without which no tubeless setup holds air. Not to be confused with tubular fitting tape: this is a rim tape, and it works on a clincher rim.
How to apply it
On a clean, dry, degreased rim. Unroll under tension, with no creases or bubbles, covering the full width of the rim bed and overlapping slightly onto the shoulders. One or two turns depending on the rim. Then pierce at the valve hole, with an awl or the tip of the valve itself.
