Aluminium valve extenders, in a few words
What it is for
For deep-section rims, when the valve does not stick out enough to connect a pump. In the shop, it is called "Extension de valve Tufo".
How it fits
The extender screws between the valve body and its core: unscrew the core, screw the extender onto the body, then screw the core back in at the top of the extender. So the core is what comes out of the rim, and you inflate exactly as usual — including to inject sealant.
The detail that matters
It has an O-ring at the joint: that prevents the slow leak that cheap extenders screwed metal to metal produce. Aluminium, in 21, 28 or 31 mm, sold individually.
