Tubeless valves, in a few words
What it is for
Presta valves for a tubeless setup, sold as a pair with two valve-core keys. Unlike an inner-tube valve, they carry a conical seal that presses against the rim bed: it is this seal, not the tape alone, that provides airtightness at the hole.
Which length
40 mm for shallow rims and MTBs, 60 mm for medium road and gravel profiles. The simple rule: enough thread must stick out to screw a pump head on properly. Beyond deep-section profiles, add a valve extender rather than forcing a valve that is too short.
Good to know
The core is removable, which is essential for injecting sealant through the valve. The two supplied keys are for that, and for tightening a core that has worked loose — a frequent cause of a wheel slowly going flat without the leak ever being found.
