What it does
The XC2 Plus SP is Tufo's top-end cross-country tubular. The MTB tubular is a peculiarity of the brand — almost nobody else makes one — and it has a precise purpose: it does not pinch. With no inner tube between tyre and rim, pinch punctures disappear, which allows pressures nobody can hold in tubeless.
The tread
Universal knobs, placed for traction on climbs and under acceleration, effective on all terrain except deep mud. The compound is a 55 Shore A Oil Silica blend — soft enough to grip on rock, dense enough to last.
Construction and fitting
210/375 TPI casing, reinforced sidewalls, puncture-protection belt. In 26, 27.5 and 29 inches, 2.00 section. Fits with Tufo double-sided MTB tubular tape, with no glue and no drying time.
