The Cubus 33 SG is Tufo's do-it-all cyclo-cross tubular: an aggressive tread that holds in mud and greasy ground but stays fast-rolling on dry, packed ground. Two casings to choose from: standard 60/90 TPI (400 g) or Flexus 210/315 TPI (350 g), more supple and lighter.

Cubus SG, in a few words

What it does

The Cubus 33 SG is Tufo's all-round cyclo-cross tubular: the one you fit when you do not yet know what the course will be made of. It holds in mud and on greasy ground, as you would expect from an aggressive tread — but it also rolls on dry, packed ground, which you would not usually expect.

The tread

Tall cube-shaped blocks, widely spaced, with pronounced shoulder knobs. The surprise of the model is its low rolling resistance despite this relief: the blocks are close enough together in the centre for contact to stay continuous, and the soft rubber works instead of bouncing.

The two casings

Your choice of: standard 60/90 TPI (400 g, up to 4.5 bar), robust and economical, for training and abrasive courses; or Flexus 210/315 TPI (350 g, up to 3 bar), markedly more supple, which absorbs better and lets you drop the pressure — the race version. The compound does not change: a soft blend that cushions impacts.
