The Thundero on a reinforced HD casing: for heavy loads, higher pressures, cutting stones.
Same tread as the Thundero, but a 130/255 TPI HD casing with thicker fibres. It takes loaded bikepacking, higher pressures and aggressive terrain, for about thirty grams more. Nylon sidewalls, puncture-protection belt, hookless compatible.

The Tufo technology in this model
Standard puncture protectionAn extra layer of rubberised casing under the tread: a barrier sufficient against most punctures, without hurting efficiency.
Grip Silica compoundTread compound with nanostructured silica, tuned for each discipline. Its strength is grip, especially in the rain.
Airtight TR compoundInner compound of nano-blocks, built into the casing, which holds air without a tube. It is what makes a tyre “tubeless ready”.
Nylon-reinforced sidewallsA nylon ply on the sidewalls of gravel and XC tyres: protection against cuts and stability at low pressure.
Gravel Thundero HD, in a few words
What it does
The Thundero HD is the Thundero for heavy loads. Same tread, different casing: it is made for loaded bikepacking, big riders, higher pressures and tracks that cut.
The HD casing
Instead of the fine 210/375 TPI casing, a 130/255 TPI casing with thicker fibres. Fewer threads, but each one bigger: the result is a tyre that deforms less and absorbs more, at the cost of about thirty grams and a little suppleness. It is the right choice as soon as the bike carries bags or the terrain cuts.
The rest
Central tread of tight blocks and three rows of shoulder knobs, nylon sidewalls, puncture-protection layer, aramid beads, compatible with hookless rims. In 36, 40, 44 and 48 mm.
