Track Pulse, in a few words
What it does
The Track Pulse is Tufo's most accomplished track tubular: the first with a high-density casing, 400/600 TPI, at 130 g in 22 mm. It is reserved for racing on a dry track — it is a final's tubular, not a training one.
The 400/600 casing
600 threads per inch under the tread: the casing contains almost no rubber between the threads, and so loses very little energy as it deforms. On a velodrome, where the surface is perfect and speed is high, this is the parameter that matters most after aerodynamics.
The compounds
A Nano Silica compound for grip on varnished wood, combined with a Low Modulus impregnation of the casing. Pressure from 10 to 15 bar.
